Lullar is like the little Google of email and social media database. It is an online tool that would help you in finding social media accounts using email for free. In 2 clicks, it would give you all the Social Media Accounts of any person using email. 

Lullar doesn’t have its own database. It just works like a search engine to find someone’s social media account using an email. The tool does not give you the exact profile you are looking for.

How do I block spam texts on my iPhone?

To block a text on your iPhone follow these steps:

1. Open the text.
2. Tap the arrow next to the contact number that’s found at the top of the screen.
3. Tap the gray “Info” button.
4. Tap blue “Info” button.
5. Scroll down and tap “Block this Caller.”

iPhone 12 Pro

I am moving on up! Well it was time to move to the current century and replace my iPhone 6s+ to the iPhone 12 Pro. Why? The '6' will lose support near term, improved security (Face ID), much improved camera with 3 lens, low-light sensor, digital measurement capability LiDAR and ready for 5G (when available). Most importantly, this will allow me to replace my LX-5 'pocket' camera for on the go captures - now replaced with the iPhone 12 Pro.

Prep, Setup and first time findings:

• best way to 'transfer' settings and data from old to new phone - use iCloud
  
• vet all existing apps and remove those minimally used
• confirm 'apps using iCloud' (so their data can be restored to new phone
• 'Backup Now' the old phone 
• in new phone Setup process use Restore from iCloud to move settings and data
• same lightning cable as older phones
  
• no 'Home' button - thought to be an issue - no problemo
  
• tapping screen launches Home page
• Face ID is effective and very fast - two ID's allowed
• swipe slide bar on Home screen to open Home
• slide bar on Home screen bottom allows switch between active screen and last 
• slow swipe-up slide bar to achieve old way to view all open apps
• do not fast swipe up on open apps to remove or close apps - not needed
  
• access Control Center via swipe top right to bottom left of screen
• cases - several sites recommend Spigen - my choice Liquid: thin/non-slip
• Siri - press right-side button for Siri
  
• Siri - turned off 'Listen for Siri' to avoid continuous listening by Apple
  
• open Privacy and confirm what apps need Location Services 'On' 
• open iCloud and confirm which apps you want to access/sync with servers

DNS over HTTPS - What?

A privacy protocol DNS over HTTPS is being implemented by Firefox and available in Chrome.  I have enabled on both. Simply stated ...

"DoH improves privacy by hiding domain name lookups from someone lurking on public WiFi, your ISP, or anyone else on your local network. DoH, when enabled, ensures that your ISP cannot collect and sell personal information related to your browsing behavior"

I am putting this in my 'Buy Again' list. This glass (tempered) screen protector for smartphones was a snap to install and produced no bubbles. iPad-iPhone Fix: Text Messages on Both

'Suddenly' ... my bride's iPad was not seeing text messages sent to her and visible on her iPhone. So 55 minutes with Apple Support (love them), we have a fix. So, if you have that issue, see Steps below.

On iPhone ..
1. Go to Settings > Messages > and confirm iMessage and Send as SMS are on
2. On same page scroll down to Send & Receive and be sure phone number and email address are there and 'checked'
3. Confirm 'Send Conversation' as phone number (checked)

On iPad ..
1. Navigate to same Settings area and configure same
2. For a Wi-Fi iPad set 'Start Conversation' as email address (checked)

MacTip: Create Larger Font in Apple Notes App

Most Mac users who use the native Notes app ask "can the default font size for the Apple native Notes app be changed?" Well, the short answer is 'No'. HOWEVER, there is a small work around to give you a larger font size using the infamous 'Control +' keys shortcut when writing a Note:
  1. Open a new Note, and before starting your Note ...
  2. Hit the Control key and the + key simultaneously - at least 3 times 
  3. Now, write your Note
  4. Important: you MUST increase the font size BEFORE writing Note - Done!

Windows: PC Cannot Connect to Home Network

Troubleshooting issues with wireless connectivity can be tricky. There are a bevy of potential causes for drops in the connection, slow-downs in throughput and sporadic signal loss. As such, it's best to take a shotgun approach, throwing a number of possible fixes at the problem and hoping one sticks.

Mac: Backup Files and Photos

Backing up your computer provides assurance that hardware, corruption, disk drive bit rot, and even fire can damage your important files and photos beyond recovery. That is why tech experts suggest you backup and backup your backups, etc in a minimum of three places. I maintain several: 1st is on the computer, second is backups to an Apple wireless drive (Time Capsule) and third is a fee-based online service called CrashPlan.

If you prefer to not use an online service for your Mac - I found a great free app called Compare and Sync Folders. It takes about 30 minutes to understand the setup and process - but it is an excellent Mac Store app that does the job for me to backup photos and docs to an external drive.

All Devices: How to See Previous Tabs in Chrome

If you use Chrome like I do, a useful hidden feature that allows you to view any tab that is open on any device that has Chrome open. Here is how it is done on the iPhone and Android:

1. Open Chrome and make sure you're signed in.

2. Touch the menu  > New Tab.

3. At the bottom, touch the recent tabs icon recent tabs.

4. Click the tab you want to open.

MacBook: Quit All Applications - One Click

Everyone wants their computer to operate as efficiently as practical. One of the tips I found through reviewing several sources was to NOT keep unused applications open and running. I have used programs for PC's that allowed one-click shutdown. So after some web searching, I found a neat application for the Mac called Mac Automator that will create a workflow application that sits on your Desktop. Then and with a double-click, it will Quit all open applications and leave you at the Desktop. See Quit All Applications.

Now, to make this process even better, use other features:
.. use F11 key to 'Show Desktop' (remember fn + F11)
.. set Hot Corners in Apple/System Preferences/Mission Control
.. use ⌘+F3 to achieve also 'Show Desktop'

Over time, it's almost impossible to prevent unsavory apps and other files from infiltrating a Windows PC, regardless of how careful a user you may be.
